This blog is brought to you by the gang at Fair Hills, Five Lakes, and Wildflower a group of great vacation spots around Detroit Lakes, Minnesota. The gang is really Beth Schupp and her family members – we have owned the resorts for 3 generations!
Fair Hills is a family resort. We have planned activities for kids all summer long, free lessons (swimming, water skiing, golf, you name it), fully catered packages, and lots of time to just hang out – for kids and adults. Our cabins are comfortable and cozy. We have no TVs – yup you read that right, no TVs in the cabins but our guests love it. We do have wireless Internet in the lobby for those you can’t completely unplug.
Fair Hills is a perfect spot for a family reunion or wedding – especially in the off peak season. The prices are reduced and more cabins are available May – June and after September.
Looking for something more remote or romantic? Visit us in Vergas, Minnesota. Five Lakes Resort offers families a unique vacation in a wooded setting on a private lake. No motors are allowed on Lake Five – so it’s always peaceful. It’s great for bird watching, fishing, hiking, or a quiet time for families or couple.
Wildflower Golf Course was voted one of the top 201 places to play by Golf Digest Magazine. It’s a beautiful course that will appropriately challenge golfers of any expertise or experience. We already have a wide range of events planned for the 2007 season including Wild Women Weekend, Wildflower Invitational, ladies events, youth events, and membership deals and events.
